Patrono Relaunches Brand & Website
As our restaurant evolves, we have partnered with CooperHouse to refine our visual identity and website to better reflect our commitment to “True Italian Flavors”.
Our new logo highlights the Black Rooster that has long been a symbol of the Chianti region of Italy. The legend goes that in the horse race to determine the border of Florence, the Black Rooster crowed earliest, while the moon was still out, thereby allowing the rider from Florence to gain more ground.
WE BELIEVE IN STAYING UP LATE TO GET AN EARLY START.
PATRONO means “SAINT, PROTECTOR” and we’ve chosen our Black Rooster to be a symbol of our position as the protector of true Italian flavors, be it wine or our classic delicious recipes.
There is an ancient belief that because evil spirits are most active in the darkness of night, the cock’s crow before sunrise dispelled demons and signaled the welcome arrive of dawn.
“ The bird of dawn singeth all night long, and then, they say, no spirit dare stir abroad.”
– Hamlet, Shakespeare
